The colour blue

Many shades of blue I see
As i stare at myself in the mirror
- a bruised face, neck and shoulder
a bruised blue soul underneath it
many shades of blue appears
from what has only been seen as monochrome
but once you open your eyes to the soul
that's when the colour blue appears
shades, variations, tones
- something i have never seen before
something i am struggling to face
bruises from long before
a bruised soul
which i call blue
- The Colour Blue.

Many shades of blue I see
staring at myself in the mirror -
a bruised face, neck, and shoulder,
and beneath them,
a bruised blue soul.

Many shades of blue appear
where once there was only monochrome.
When you open your eyes to the soul,
that is when blue emerges:
shades, variations, tones -
something I've never seen before,
something I'm struggling to face.

Bruises from long before,
a bruised soul
that I call blue

The Colour Blue is a journey of self-exploration, rooted in personal experience and emotion. What began as an attempt to untangle inherited trauma became a confrontation with my own story.

To me, the soul is blue in many shades. This project holds both the bruises of the past and the possibility of healing, where what was once black and white fades into something softer, yet still deeply felt.
